poem: still blood

[Written in the wee hours in tandem with Jill Scott's "He Loves Me." The line inside me to chorus is my mishearing of her incite me to chorus. Lovely line, and she does. So.]

castle mine

finest tethers

your ache lingers

longing the larger

the very

the never

the actual

the violet caress

inside me to chorus

vital signs

heart signs

the cicada runs free

we were morning

we are still

blood drives

the faster ways

life makes more

in the Julys of glory

you the I can't

you the missing inversions

the played against

the tangled web

the blue coos

the sensate disarray

the invitation stills

the bone

parallel charm

derelict alarm

gathered excitation

the black seam

down

the darkest night

inside me

to
chorus.
