I love the words: "in suits we gambled lives of worthless endeavor". Then I wondered how it would feel if "gambled" were changed to "gamboled" like so: "in suits we gamboled, lives of worthless endeavor". But i think yours is better.
T: Gamboled looks better (as in, it's better-looking word), but these boys were definitely gambling their lives.
gambling their lives while gamboling in hot Armani suits???
