standing on a corner waiting for a sucker like you...
All that's missin' is Ms Chaka Khan from the album version. Imagine that inside all this lovely brouhaha...

Loved this song. I couldn't listen to it during the day because there were too many people in the office where I work at school. I had to wait till tonight. Absolutely adored the trombone solo!! The sax was great, too. All of them were!! A bit more jivy than the real Hollywood. Very nice.
that was a fun ride ~
lots to get lost in...and then the lyrics aren't what i was expecting -- thanks for sharing :)
Teresa: Way back in the skinny Ry days (skinny everybody daze). I first heard this on Bop Till You Drop album, with Chaka adding to the funk. I like how Ry and the band take this one out for a nice long walk - even if it doesn't seem long at all.
TLee: It is at that. Quick ride from Whitefish to Hollywood.
jsd: Social justice thrown in with the funk. No surprise Ry headed to Havana to resurrect the music there, too.
