Sunday Scribblings #185: Junk

[Junkyard dog boogaloo]

Junkyard dog boogaloo
flashy ann cashion
aggrandizing the goal posts
midrash of the afflicted
evidentiary assistance
the digital proof of existence
hardly played
deeply weighed
grooves worn out in
mid.
career.
careening through the mercado
pralines babies lined up
for sale
tito, celia, colon, larry &
pacheco
Fania intercessories
candles in confusion
fusion confusion
(confucian confusion!)
after the nines are set
blues magoos folly azul
casting south
wishing for grace
wishing on a star
wishing you never
had to face the limitations
of the keys
to your inferno
trigger finger apparitions
perpetual help on the fly
prompt succor by and by
you & I the nearing current -
blissful bolero -
eye to eye.

Still hearing the music I see. Loved the pralines babies picturing fat rosy cheeked babes grinning so big their eyes are squished shut - makes you want to bite em LOL and the fusions, oh the confusions - such a nice taste to those too. The beat was in this.No limitations there - the music and the words would fly right up to heaven.

Dee: Still hooked: it didn't help that I've checked out five Fania CDs and two DVDs: immersion. The Fania record exec was obsessed with documenting this wonderful craze: archival food for us all.

Loved the Confucian confusion in the fusion. And the beat goes on!! I also liked that you are dancing a blissful bolero eye to eye!

Man, I shouldn’t have looked at the comments right after reading this. Well, Paschal, I had no idea what all this Fania business was, but I got the rhythm, for sure, and how, and loved it. I read it more like a drive through the ‘hood, righteous rapping jumping out the rolled-down windows. The look and sound of “junkyard dog bugaloo” snagged me on fast to the mid. career. slow-down and off again to the helluva spin down from your inferno fly by bolero eye to eye. Very enjoyable, even by one who has no idea what’s what. That’s how good :-D

Sista Jules: Intuitive piscean mermaid like yourself always gonna catch wassup. Drive by, drive through for sure, and as it was translating to and beyond mid.career., it felt like life before my very ojos.

Fusion confusion, yessiree! I love the meandering cadence, Pasquali. This is a rap, if you weren't already aware. Go ahead, give it a try. Cock yer cap to the side, flash your ring bling and let it roll, bro! I'm hearing the vibes and tasting the confections here.

Good to hear from you, MiguelitO. If you've not checked out the Fania All-Stars heretofore, they are worth your while. Ms Celia is laid to rest up your way in Fort Lee, NJ.

Feel wonderfully lost in all these fabulous assonances. Not quite sure what it all means, but my foot is tapping, and that's gotta be good.

Anno: First daze of Scorpio, our feet should be tapping, and whatever the Fanias can feed into the mix just adds to the fire. Buenos dias, amiga.
