Good heavens. Sorry to go all googly and old skool on y'all, but come on, Lady T's voice is hard to beat. Coulda done without the Barry White crescendo at the end, but still:

Ms A: Whether or never...I love the way that just when you think Lady Ivory has laid the table with all her gorgeous colors, she'll blast it all off to yet another level. She hits her blaster here right around I never thought I'd see...

Ooh, yeah…she hits the moon steady on and goes into a free fall. A firecracker twizzling back to earth. Stirs my memory of Mariah Carey’s pipes when they were first debuted doin’ a lot of Aretha twizzle-and-dazzle, from dizzying heights to da low down ground :-)

rebecca: Amen to all that. It was nice to find out a few years back that Lady T was still singing her beautiful colors.

Pure magick. The kind of voice that makes a person feel as if the lines of their life are drawn thick and bright. So glad I finally got to hear this.

I like the new profile pic -- feeling festive?

anno: My rediscovery of Lady T about four years ago was as close to a religious conversion as it gets. Her La Dona CD, at age 48? 49? blew me away.

The profile pic is from Austin's 37th Street Yuletide psychedelia. My commemoration of the street (first written years ago) was posted here:

Just scroll down to December 21, 2007.

Computer's on the futz; I'm in the library right now. If I don't talk to you again before Christmas, the very merriest to you and the M/ms.

How about sending us some snow? Peace.
