Mr. Pencil???
This one is fun. I read it this morning and chuckled, read it again and its rhythms and jive picked up my spirits. Truly a plum for Chinese New Year and a big heart for Valentine's Day. All the best to you and Tina tomorrow and for the rest of the Year of the Tiger!
Teresa: Re: Mr P, I know, not exactly the most titillating image for V-day, but that "line" had been stuck in my head for about two weeks, ever since I saw the sign on McCullough Avenue that "Mr. Pencil has moved to 1000 N. Main." Funky little handmade sign on the street. When I first saw the original Mr. Pencil sign a couple of years ago, I had to write about it then, too. Besides, Mr P helps with drawing conclusions, dontcha know...
Happy Tiger back atcha!
Teresa: You'll find the first mention of Mr. Pencil Supply Company at this link: http://murat11.blogspot.com/search?q=mr.+pencil. I forgot to mention the rather sadly drawn pencil that serves as logo for MPSC: cousin, methinks, to Planters' Mr. Peanut.
Aaah. And now things become a bit clearer. It is the pencil used to address the valentine, not a phallic reference. I see.
T: Glad we got that all cleared up...
