30 second urchkin poem
Riffing off Philip Larkin's "Far Out":
DARK CARTOONS
nihar's obsessed slide shows
a dark swim
Japanese anime
(there's no other kind of anime)
it's hard to deny.
a cloud / a dark cloud
slanted cheesestick
slap happy tissue box.
(7 middlers at break neck speed. Not bad.)

7 middlers at breakneck speed, they done good. Especially with the slap happy conclusion.
Paschal, you must be a wonderful teacher.
"Slap happy tissue box" rolled right off the tongue of a young male poetry-phobe who said his phobia was due to the fact that he only liked poems that made "sense." This, from a student who wrote a 2000 word epic entitled "I'm Off to see Wikipedia" that was hilarious and entirely surreal.
Thanks for the good words.
The knowledge that a poetry-phobe came up with "slap happy tissue box" makes my experience of the line all the richer.
