Talkin' New Orleans Susan Cowsill
You knew this was coming, from the man with too much surfing time on his hands.
lover of the black rose; unfettered and alive; chief archivist of the western slopes; another of Yemaya's babes in the world; Joachim's distant star; boring stories of - glory daze

Didn't know Susan Cowsill lived in NO or that she lost her brother to Katrina or that she was still making music. Life, it's full of surprises.
Thanks for the eye-opener, Paschal.
Thought I wrote this somewhere else, but perhaps it got lost. While still living in NO, I knew SC had moved to town and was in a band called the Continental Drifters: one of the Bangles was in the band, too. We never crossed paths, though I do have one of the CD's cds. Apparently the transmigration took.
You can find more at her web site. There's an impassioned hymn to her beleagered/adopted city entitled "Crescent City Snow." Here's the page link for the song: http://www.susancowsill.com/music_jbi.html
Thanks for posting Susan's video. Please help spread the word about her great CD, "Just Believe It" which got lost in the Katrina Shuffle. She could not promote it while displaced and searching for her brother. Even 2 years later, this CD deserves attention. There's a newly posted video on YouTube of the song "Nanny's Song" from "JBI" at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndkzHUIi8G8
K8: Thanks for your visit over here, and thanks for the update on Susan's activities. Peace.
