dia de las madres: for Tina
[kolm]
mauve's green
green's mauve
3 falls:
from tyranny,
from memory,
from captivity,
into ardent fools
falling
into coffee'd pools
falling
alizarin crimson rounding the heart
of Gwyneth's plume,
gold in the sun-flecked corners
songold / marrygold
hazy sunflowers in hazy mist
sea line woman,
ocean bloom'd
spun through riverrun heron's blue
castaway chillun
gathered into
the dark
chocolate
of Yemaya's kiss:
carnelian babies,
sapphire blissed.

Love the picture, love the poem. Tina is one lucky lady... (and you and Walden are lucky, too).
Hope you all have a blessed, happy mother's day!
oh such a beautiful expression of love and life painted with an artists paintbox. Happy Mother's day to Tina, many more blissings and blessings to the entire family :)
Teresa: We did, and I hope you did as well.
Thank you, Dee. A bit of a tough poem to make, since I was "writing" it on my hike down the Tobin Trail. I had to memorize it, and I'm outta practice.
I would be in big trouble. I have the memory of a field mouse. :) I remember pieces of things I think of when I am walking and write those pieces down as soon as I get home so they don't get lost in the muck and mire and gray matter.
You would likely surprise yourself, Dee, since necessity is the mother of invention (and Zappa, of course). Six miles of lines beginning to fill up your head gives you plenty of time for repetitions.
I have a feeling Tina had a great Mother's Day :)
DM: She did: she gave the sermon at church, and later led a ceremony honoring all the women in the church. It was all quite beautiful.
