Thoroughly enjoyed your Easter choices, Pasqual. Solomon sang has such a delightful background melody, enchanting :) I don't usually look at the videos while I listen to your songs, many times they don't even have a video. However when I sneaked a peek at this last one...let's say I hope there is more to a Louisiana Sunday afternoon than a high-way full of cars haha ;) Hope you're having a happy Easter.
Ms Mood: Having a wonderful Easter, and a whole day off tomorrow, too. I'd planned to drop Dianne Schuur's version of Looziana into Muravia, but that vid was embedding-disabled (greedy bastards!). I like this other version, but I do believe that highway is in southern California. I'm waiting for SoCal girl Teresa to confirm. Ain't no mountains anywheres in Looziana . . .
CW's New Moon Daughter CD is still my favorite of hers.
Good thing I read the comments before heading back to my translation work, or I would have missed the fact that I had to confirm that the third video is indeed Highway 91 heading east out of Orange County to Riverside, California. It was weird because before I saw the sign when it was just walls and palm trees, I was thinking that the pothole at the side of the road looked familiar. It does. Right out of my stomping grounds...
Teresa: Thanks for the confirmation. I had a hunch when I saw the exit sign with Anaheim Boulevard. Potholes alone would not have made the confirmation for me - Looziana's full of them (though, as I say, they ain't no mountains). I did not know the singer until I found this vid; seems she's from Chula Vista.

Hi Murat,

Great music to translate poetry by.

chula vista is down by the border not far from where the big earthquake was yesterday. She's up pretty far north...
Teresa: Heading for Disneyland, perhaps? Or maybe she's just got a thing for your potholes.
