one word rothko chapel: gallery

vitality
the bloody marys

of the turfside

exquisite vagabonds

the road to cairo

blazing

time sits with

her mermaids

the squalor

of sassy friends

calculations divvied

by the time

we get there.

love all the different associations you get from gallery. Although I thought the "exquisite vagabonds on the road to cairo blazing" were rowing in GALLEYS not galleries, but what do I know?

I love the image of time sitting with her mermaids and the sounds brought to mind by the phrase "the squalor of sassy friends..."

Very cool poem.

T: I liked time and her mermaids, too, when they showed up. I'm not quite sure how squalid fits with the sassies, but then, what else would be talkin' with their sassy tongues, if not at least a touch of squalor...

More than a touch of squalor; I'm thinking trailer park tough and sassy and a whole lot of brassy.

I love the words, and the flow, Murat. Both in your poem and then in the rhythm with Teresa.

Chris: Sister Teresa is the Grand Poobah of Tesserine Exegesis over here in Muravia: without her, I wouldn't have a clue what I'm writing.
