one word entropy: coin

gaggle of busters,
infantry on the move,

piercing the distal,

accelerating the forgotten.

why crawl for the invisible

dream that wavers?

this was the very last

and you were beyond even that.

I love this post, Murat. The primary association of coin with entropy is brilliant. Is it a "fair coin"? Not if you're betting against the government and the banks...

So we have a gaggle of people busting the bank or banks busting their borrowers and the government spending our hard-earned coin to set our infantry on the move to faraway places where they accelerate the forgotten. Why do we crawl for the invisible dream that wavers? I am afraid you were right that we were down to our very last coin, and now we have spent way beyond our means.

My favorite lines: "Piercing the distal / accelerating the forgotten. / why crawl for the invisible / dream that wavers?"

And "shaman economy" is great. Like "voodoo economics".

Teresa: I was going to say that I had this set (in my fevered imagination, anyway) in some place more surreal than the world we live in, but then what could be more surreal than this very world itself?

What could be more surreal than using taxpayer's money to bail out banks so that they can lend it back to us at interest? Except for maybe the bonuses to which said bankers now feel entitled? Grrr.

Add my vote to Teresa's for "Piercing the distal/ accelerating the forgotten./ why crawl for the invisible/ dream that wavers?" Wonderful lines.

Amen, Sister Anno: consider me converted on the issue of surrealism.

Those were my favorite lines, too.

I think that we are living in an age in which truth is stranger than fiction.
