Thanks for the rope of musical pearls. Love the "Earfood" label on the first one. Maybe they are tapioca pearls for a delicious dessert!

Teresa: Glad you enjoyed. I missed seeing Hargrove a couple of times while living in Austin. Sounds good here.

haha You got me there, I read the title and I immediately started singing.
The first video wasn't available "in my country" but the jazz was most enjoyable and I hadn't heard of Flora before but, funnily enough, when the music started and she made a sound I thought: wow this really sounds like Bossa Nova, but I hadn't even read the brazilian names of the artists. There's a very particular mood in that genre - I loved that song!

DM: You know that title was for you. Flora's been around since the 60s: her husband is the Brazilian percussionist Airto. They did some work with Chick Corea's Return to Forever in its early incarnations; she always had this wild rainforest animales quality to her singing, very shamanistic: what struck me quite forcefully here was how she pulled that in, but delivered a powerfully felt performance. It was a more classic delivery than I'd ever heard from her; I liked it a lot.
