rain prayer for tres leches
Only we'll settle for longer than a minute, 49 seconds. That's for sure...
I'm playing that every day here until WE get rain too. It rains all around us. Dale planted Cushaws this year and we are hoping to have enough to give some away and save seed for next year. Rain would help further that goal - here's hoping the rain choir does the trick!
This is beautiful. Those weather reports from Tres Leches, though, are another story. Add my prayer to this, for long, rainy afternoons, the smell of damp earth, soft green grass.
Fantastic, Paschal! I thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of it as well as the realism of the storm sounds. Rain is and continues to be my favorite type of weather.
Praying for rain again I see... the cycle of life in tres leches. I tried an anti rain-dance to ward off showers during the music festival in our town. The heavens responded by opening and letting loose with fury.
This is one of the most amazing things I've ever heard. I felt goosebumps and had to look outside to make sure it wasn't really raining. Oh sending you best of rainy thoughts.
Dee: Oh, so you're getting the same treatment, too: rain all around you. Same here: now what is that all about? I wonder if it's a corollary to my son's axiom that if both his parents are in the Gulf with him at the same time, the BIG WAVES will not "pummel" him; if one goes away, the big waves return (just to be clear: he prefers to be pummeled). Not sure about that, but I do know I saw some people who were big wave magnets this afternoon: one woman was just calling them all to her: I could probably use for her duty in my front lawn.
Anno: You ain't kiddin'. Our lawns are all crispy-fried. We're on Stage 2 drought restrictions now: once weekly lawn watering; on your assigned day, you can water 3 am - 8 am, or 8 pm to 10 pm. Of course, we should all admit we live in the desert now and be xeriscaped: actually, we're are all xeriscaped by now, we just haven't admitted it to ourselves.
Just so you know - we have had two blessed day of rain since I played this hear. Hope it works for you as well as it did for us. The Cushaws are doing a dance of gratitude :)
Dee: Nothing yet, though there was the most deliciously cold water in the Gulf while we were down there. I know we are due for a big rain soon; I just hope it doesn't happen during school hours, cuz I'm liable to get buck nekkid and go wallow in it when it falls.

And here I thought a fiddler was going to come out, but it was the sound of rain on the roof. Way cool, Murat!
Teresa: Our crispy lawns need it badly...
Sadly, as beautiful as this piece is, it's also about the duration of the rain showers we've been getting lately (if we get them).

Prayers for rain all round.

Lee: When the rains arrive, they will be an enormous blessing.
present: Maybe your anti-rain dance would "work" down here, too.
Ms Mood: We'll take all the rain you can send, and more. Glad you enjoyed the video.
