T: Glad you enjoyed these. The cellist you saw is actually their new cellist, along with their new fiddle player.

I wondered about that, but I figured anything could have been hiding under that coonskin hat. Both their string players are smooth and the banjo was divine. Love the vocals, too. You will have a very happy birthday.

Dee: CS is doing a Texas swing, November 6th (my birthday) in Woodlands and November 7th, just up the road in San Marcos. The latter is a free outdoor concert. Weather should be in the low 90s by then. (Actually, we've been in the lows already this past week, with some stout rain yesterday. Hallalooey!)

Teresa: Hard to believe there was no fiddle in the previous incarnation of CS. Your buddy's "name" is Rushad Eggleston (he was apparently born with another) and he is currently with the Sneth-Metal band he founded: you'll find them at tornadoriderband.com: plenty to listen to there, 180 degrees from CS, but loads of anarchic fun, probably mucho fun-o live-o. He keeps up some milder gigs with Darol Anger and Michael Doucet.
